wk 2: 3D time!

Captains log, Star date 569692: By following the tutorial letter for letter I was able to finish the next stage of head modeling.

This was done using 2 planes as reference plates making the next stage much easier. then using lines with a snap on I simply drew over the lines and converted one to editable poly and attached the rest. This left me with a flat mesh of the front of my face which I could then move on to model.

wk 2: Amendments

Captains log, Star date 569691: I spotted a triangle by my eye so I sorted out that wee problem. Here is the new pic:

Topology in photoshop

Captains log, Star date 569690: I have finished mapping my face in 2D but the tutorial said to do it in Photoshop but I could see from the video that he was using a tablet where as I had to use a mouse making smooth lines very very tricky so I decided to do it in Flash using lines and rectangles, which allowed me to produce it much much faster, and I managed to keep my sanity in doing so!

First impressions

Captains log, Star date 569689: I have modelled complex 3D objects before so face-modelling didn't phase me. I am looking forward to it, and just hope that I can pull off a convincing replica!
